Database

CONSIGNOR is built for running on SQL Server 2005/2008  – all editions.

 

Consignor will be delivered with SQL Server 2005 Express edition as a default. Other editions of the SQL Server 2005/2008 can be used by Consignor. (Note: – Not SQL Server 2000 or earlier)

 

In production Consignor will consume approx 2 megabyte of hard disk pr 1000 shipments – ex. 500.000 shipments produced over 1 year will demand 1 gigabyte of hard disk.

 

Backup of database can be handled either by company internal backup routines or by the build-in Consignor functionally.

 

The default port used by SQL server is 1433, this port needs to be open on the computer where the SQL server runs.
